Rules: Organ Legging
These are the rules if characters decide to sell a heavily cybered opponent for second-hand parts.
First the characters must find or know people who do this sort of work. Time spent finding an interested party will decrease the value of the merchandise. There is no value in betaware, deltaware, or cultured bioware because it is too specialized to be of use to organ leggers. Bone treatments of any kind are of no use because they cannot be removed. Once these items are factored out, the base value of the applicable implants: 15% value of augmentations, adjusted as follows:
- -1% per 2 hours since the body was delivered or stabilized (stasis, cooled, etc.)
- -5% if body frozen solid
- -.5% per damage (roll dice equal to total physical damage taken, including overflow. Factor -.5% per success)
Gamemaesters should keep track of how often characters perform this type of transaction, as word on the street will eventually catch up to them (earning points of Notoriety.)
